Here are two articles about the glacier on the Italy side of the Mont Blanc massif that threatens to collapse. It is in the Val Ferrat area, which is what was closed during our hike due to mudslides. The area was closed to traffic in 2019 and again in 2020 due to the melting glacier that could collapse at any time.
